This new small group will meet monthly to discuss a modern "literary" novel chosen by members. Examples of authors we might choose to read include Ann Patchett, Robert Harris, Claire Fuller, William Boyd, Anne Tyler and Colm Tóibín. But also, say, Ian Rankin or John le Carré. Any author for whom the story is just the string on which the real pearls are threaded.

Members must somehow obtain their own copy of the chosen book.
